- Which AI writing assistant will you try?
If you are an online entrepreneur or marketing agency looking to improve your content creation, or just want to try something new, AI copywriting tools might be for you! If you’ve read my recent blog posts, you know I was a little hesitant to jump on the AI writing tool train. Why? Because ads for AI copywriting software are always like “fire your copywriter, just use our fancy AI writing assistant to write your entire blog posts in just a few clicks and never hire a copywriter again” (Okay, I am exaggerating a little bit).
But, you get the point! I was worried AI copywriting tools could be a threat to my business. But in fact, it’s the opposite!
After using several copy AI tools, I realized that they can be really helpful in content creation if you use them correctly. I don’t think AI copywriting software is the secret to writing blog posts in 30 seconds (although they may try and tell you that – you can check out my blog post on how to write blogs faster), but using an AI-powered copywriting tool does make my job as a freelance writer easier! So, keep reading on for my tried and tested reviews of the latest AI copywriting software.
What is AI Copywriting Software?
AI writing assistants use AI-powered software to generate information based on information you provide. So, if you input the topic you are writing about, the AI copywriting software will spit out high-quality content for you!
But before you get too excited and fire your copywriter, I should mention that copy AI tools are not perfect. More often than not they make mistakes, and certainly don’t replicate the quality of human writing, and the attention to detail of the human (and a copywriter’s) eye. With that being said, I do still find it to be a helpful tool for my business, especially when it comes to avoiding the burnout that comes with the constant writing and content creation of my job as a copywriter for female entrepreneurs!
How does AI Copywriting work?
In short, AI copywriting tools help you write by understanding what you want to say and then suggesting words and phrases to use. The best copywriting AI software takes into account things like your target audience, brand voice, and the overall tone of your website or blog.
When you’re using AI copywriting tools, they pull from GPT-3 software to generate content. GPT-3 is a machine learning platform that takes in data from millions of sources to “learn” how to write copy. The copywriting software can then create content based on what it has learned.
The best copywriting AI software will also have features like a thesaurus, grammar checker, and even a content editor. This helps copywriters create copy that is not only error-free but also consistent with their brand voice.
So, if you’re looking for a copywriting AI tool to help with your blogging or content marketing, definitely check out some of the options below!
Will AI Writing Assistants Replace Copywriters?
Great question… and the answer is no, no, and no. AI copywriting tools can help my fellow writers and bloggers efficiently generate blog outlines, blog posts, social media posts, and even product descriptions. BUT copywriting software tools will never replace the human touch and connection of working with a living, breathing, copywriter.
There are some things that copywriting AI software just can’t do – like come up with a great headline or completely understand the nuances of your brand’s voice. It’s pretty much impossible to expect automated copywriting software to understand your writing style or brand voice. A computer will never replicate the same level of human connection as a real, live person! With that in mind, you may have difficulty writing an entire blog post in AI that feels 100% authentic, in your style, and truly connected to your brand. So, while copywriting AI software is a great tool to help with the content creation process, it will never replace the need for human copywriters.
That’s where working with a great copywriter for businesswomen comes in! For me, I use AI-generated copy to help speed up the process of outlining content for my blog posts. But for clients, I pull out all the stops to research, write, and publish amazing copy that sounds like YOU! So if that is something you are interested in, get in touch with me!
Just because you still may need to work with a certified conversion copywriter for some projects, doesn’t mean that an AI writing assistant couldn’t help you out! AI copywriting software tools can simplify the content creation process, and help you write SEO-optimized blog posts more consistently. When you combine the power of AI with the strategy of a copywriter, you really have a great combination!
In my business, using an AI copywriting tool truly helps me blog without writer’s block, constantly coming up with new ideas (and more words!) I definitely write most of my blog posts, but will use AI copywriting tool to generate content ideas and SEO meta descriptions. Long-form blog articles with AI can be a hit or miss, which is why it’s always good to have a copywriter on your team!
Writing SEO Optimized Blog Posts with AI Writing Software
One of the main reasons to use copywriting AI software is to help you write SEO-optimized blog posts. If you are a freelance writer or small business owner, you know how important it is to write SEO-friendly blog posts. But what does that even mean?
Simply put, SEO-friendly means your blog post is using the right keywords (that your audience is searching for!) in the right places so that your post appears as a top result when someone Googles those keywords.
For example, let’s say you are a certified conversion copywriter specializing in website copywriting. If you want your blog post to appear as a top result when someone searches “website copywriting,” then you need to make sure to use that phrase (and similar phrases) throughout your blog post.
But how do you know what keywords to use? And where to use them?
Well, there are many different tools for researching SEO keywords, and strategies based on your competitors, what’s trending, and other factors. To make life simpler (and reduce the need for solopreneurs to have to subscribe to 9301 different tools for their businesses), some copywriting AI software combine the SEO research with automated writing assistants. So, let’s talk more about how to write SEO-optimized outlines and blog posts using AI copywriting tools.

But with so many AI copywriting tools on the market which one is right for your small business? Let’s go over some of the best copywriting tools available!
Alright, so let’s get into the juicy details of the top AI writing tools on the market right now! Last week I went down a MAJOR rabbit hole by looking up the best AI copywriting software available. CopyAI is a newer AI copywriting tool that is quickly becoming a favorite for creators, myself included! It’s a versatile AI writing tool for creating high-quality short-form and long-form content. GrowthBar is an AI copywriting and SEO tool that is honestly great for solopreneurs. It combines SEO features and a Google Chrome extension with the AI copywriting tool, which is great for helping optimize blog posts. I really like the idea of GrowthBar in theory, because it could get rid of the need for both an SEO tool and an AI tool. I found myself using the SEO features and curiously looking at different metrics when searching for a keyword. Sometimes, the tool would be a little slow, and I wished for more in the AI tool part. I had to write in more information than I wanted instead of relying on the AI.
