Hello and welcome back! You may have noticed that my blog has been a little quiet lately, but rest assured, I have a good reason. Well actually, the best reason: I had a baby!

My beautiful daughter was born almost six months ago (time is a thief – I truly cannot believe it has been six months), and during that time I had to shift my priorities. As much as I love connecting with entrepreneurs and sharing tips online, I knew those things needed to take a backseat for a little bit while I settled into my new (and most important) role as mama. Spending time soaking up her newborn snuggles was my only job for a while – and I loved it. My daughter seems to grow by the minute, and I am so grateful I took those first months to really focus on getting to know her.

Learning to balance everything while becoming a new parent during a pandemic has been quite the journey. At times, it has been really difficult, but I am doing the best I can. As a recovering perfectionist, it has been tough to accept living in a constant state of chaos. That being said, this is the best kind of chaos – holding my daughter as she sleeps, watching her light up when I walk into the room, and seeing her learn new things has made all the sleepless nights, stress, and dirty diapers worth it. Accepting the craziness of being a new parent has really allowed me to let go of all the things I “should” be doing and focus on enjoying all the things I AM doing.

Now that we are past the newborn stage I feel like I can finally take a deep breath (those late nights are no joke!). I’m ready to jump back into this part of my business and really engage with all of you here about copywriting, web design, and communicating authentically in your online business. I’m feeling inspired to continue helping purpose-driven business owners connect with their clients through my writing.

Wow, I’m a mommy now! I know my life will never be the same, and I’m grateful for that. I wouldn’t trade these last six months with my daughter for anything. I’m so glad she will grow up in a world where there are so many incredible examples of women who are raising babies and building businesses at the same time. I hope she knows she can achieve anything.

Shout out to all of you mamas; you inspire me to stay focused on my business and the goals I have for my family. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it!

I didn’t share much about my pregnancy because honestly, it was rough. I struggled with hyperemesis gravidarum and was hospitalized multiple times. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to share my experience on the I Am Wellness Podcast, hosted by one of my dear friends, Charjoi from Joiful Healing. Be sure to check out the episode “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” as well as all of the amazing podcast features she has in season 1 and season 2. Available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all of the other podcast places 🙂
